The Valium Whip
26 February 2009 @ 02:42 pm

1st March 2009 sees the release of This Theory of Static's new album "Electricity"

Electricity is an expansive and at times epic listen. Each track makes it's mark with a production sound that belies it's relatively humble project studio roots.  From the spacey electronica-infused intro of “Set The Controls” to the epic “Seven is Exploding” the dark plundering stomp of “Resurrection Song” and the somber yet powerful first single “In Absentia” the album explores themes of self awareness, deceit and conspiracy and relationships.

Electricity Tracklisting
01 Set The Controls
02 Seven Is Exploding

06 Seconds
07 Resurrection Song
08 Planets Align
09 To Ruin
10 To Walk Beneath Falling Bullets
11 [d_d.s/11]

Creepshow Productions are proud to announce the signing of NZ’s premier darkwave band The Mercy Cage. The Mercy Cage have been the stalwarts of NZ’s dark underground scene for the last 8 years and with 2001’s Rust: A Fiction (Mediatrix) and 2005's Scree: Transmissions (DSBP) both released to general critical acclaim both within NZ and abroad, Creepshow relishes the opportunity to work with The Mercy Cage in delivering the next long awaited album in 2009.

With a genuine focus on home, expect to see the Mercy Cage more in the live scene and playing some new rocking tracks as the new album comes to life.

Creepshow will also be working with The Mercy Cage's previous North-American label DSBP and keeping the NZ connection strong overseas. Josh Wood will still be playing an integral part in New Mexico band Diverje as well.

In the meantime, check out the latest track from The Mercy Cage called “The Jewellery Thief” on the Something Wicked This Way Comes compilation and keep an ear/eye out. There will be some suprises along the way...
